Louis Icart Grapes

His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
"Buying Works by Icart." He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

Paper Size: 20 x 16"
The paper is heavy wove and has been professionally conserved. The image and sheet are very clean.
There are no scratches, tears, rips, foxing or pinholes to the image or sheet.
The signature (lr) is strong and clear. The EM blindstamp (ll) is strong together with the notation "66."
The copyright notation (lr) is correct and is clear and strong. The editor's notation (lr) is correct and about half of it is clear and the other half is difficult to read.
The hand coloring in the lips, face and grapes is subtle and nice.
The etching has been framed with its original frame and is double matted with French lines. (see image on web-site)
Overall the image an A and the sheet an A.
