The Louis Icart Elegance etching fits the description that his etchings depict elegant women during the art deco period.
He created more than of 500 etchings by using different techniques. These include
etching and dry point combined with hand coloring. Furthermore, the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” describes his methods. Mainly he created full sized etchings.
But he also liked erotic illustrated books, and pastel enhanced lithographs.
Futher, he produced menu covers, advertising prints, and oils on canvas.

Paper Size: 19 7/16 x 13 3/8″
The paper is heavy wove and there is no visible watermark. The work has been professionally conserved and is very clean.
There are no scratches, rips, pinholes, or other imperfections to the image. There is a very fine, rich, burr to the etching. indicating this etching was one of the early pulls.
The signature (lr) is strong. There is a blind stamp in the (ll).
The hand coloring is very strong.  This is a very fine early image.
Overall the image is an A+ and the sheet an A-.
