Louis Icart - Louis Icart Fishbowl

His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

There is no light toning, acid burn, tears, rips, or foxing to the image or sheet. The image itself is in very good condition.
The signature (lr) is moderate, the notation “252” appears in pencil in the (ll) and copyright reads “Copyright 1925 by les Graveurs Moderns 194 rue de Rivoli, Paris” (ul).
The hand coloring in the lips, nails, and rouge is good.

Overall the image is an A, and the sheet an A-
