Louis Icart - Louis Icart Patience

His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

Paper Size: 10 3/4 x 13 5/8″ (oval)
All margins have been trimmed to fit in an oval frame. The paper is heavy wove with no watermark. The item has been professionally conserved and is not laid down.
There is no light toning, foxing, rips, tears, acid burn or other damage. The image itself is in very good condition.
The signature (lr) is strong, the notation “281” appears in pencil in the lower left. The EM blindstamp is in the bottom center margin.
The copyright is clear and correct and reads “Copyright 1922 by the F. H. Bresler Co., Milwaukee, USA.”
The hand coloring in the lips and face is nice.
Overall the image is an A, and the sheet a A-.
