Salvador Dali Mures Sauvages (Blackberries) 1970

The Salvador Dali Coeur de Fraise (Strawberries) is an etching.  Jean Schneider, Basel published the etching in 1970 by as part of the two print suite Fruits.  This lithograph is printed on a black background on japon, has embossing, is signed by Salvador Dali and is numbered XXXII/XXXV. The image size is 22 3/8 x 14 9/16″ and the sheet 29 1/4 x 21 5/8″. The etching is in fine condition,  never framed, no flaws or damage.  The etching is sold.

Dalí was known for his role in Surrealism. He was also a seminal example of celebrity showmanship and the cult of personality, a phenomenon that dominates popular culture today. Dali was always a colorful and flamboyant presence. This is reflected by his signature cape, wide-eyed expression and trademark upturned waxed mustache, Dalí was a master of self-promotion and spectacle.
