Louis Icart - Louis Icart Before the Raid
His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

This is a loose sheet and the paper is very heavy wove . The etching has been professionally conserved. There is no toning to the sheet or image.
There are no, scratches, tears, or foxing to the image or sheet. This is a strong impression and a crisp clean image.
The signature (lr) is strong with the LI blindstamp and notation “Adieu” (ll).
The copyright (lr) reads “Copyright 1925 by ‘Les Graveurs Modernes 194 Rue de Rivoli, Paris.”
This is a good impression.
Overall the image is an A and the sheet an A.
