Louis Icart - Louis Icart Laughing Buddha
His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

The paper is heavy wove. The etching has been professionally conserved. This is very clean sheet and image.
There is no light toning, acid burn, pin holes, scratches, soft handling creases or tears.
The signature (lr) is strong, and the notation “203” appears in the lower left.
The copyright (ur) is correct and clear and strong, and the editor’s notation (ul) is correct and clear and strong.
The hand coloring is very good.
Overall the image is an A and the sheet is an A-.
