Condition Report
Image Size 13 3/8 x 17 1/8″
Paper Size 19 3/4 x 25 1/2″
The paper is very heavy wove with a partial BFK RIVES watermark. The sheet has not been conserved. The left corner of the sheet has been cut removing a 6 1/2 x 1 1/4″ sliver. There are four 1″ tears in the outer margins that have been sealed with tape. There is very pale matte burn and there are two printer’s smudges in the far margins. There is a hand written title in the lower margin.
The signature in graphite is strong (lr),
The hand coloring is good.
Overall the image an A and the sheet an A- (as is). Conservation would remove the pale matte burn, but won’t really add anything.
Price $1,300.00 – Framing in the style of Icart is available.
