His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

The etching has been professionally conserved and is not laid down. The paper is heavy wove.
There is no light toning, acid burn, pinholes, or tears.
The signature is in crayon and is moderate (lr), and the work bears the notation “178” (ll).
The copyright notation “Copyright 1922 by the F. H. Bresler & Co. Milwaukee. USA,” and the editor’s notation (ul) reads “Publie par L’Estampe Moderne14 rue de Richelieu Paris.” Both are clear and strong.
The hand coloring is very good.
Overall the image is an A and the sheet is an A-.
