His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

Paper Size: 19 1/8 x 14 3/8″ (oval)
This is a loose sheet that has been professionally conserved. The paper is heavy wove.
There are no scratches, foxing, rips, or tears to the image or sheet.
The signature is strong (lr) and there is the notation “128”(ll) with the EM blindstamp (lc).
The copyright (ur) reads “Copyright 1922 by the F. H. Bresler & Co. Milwaukee USA” and the publisher’s notation (ur) reads “Publie by l’Estampe Moderne, 12, rue Godet de Maurie – Paris_1921.” Both are clear and strong.
There is exceptional coloring and a rich burr.
Overall the image is an A+ and the sheet is an A-.
