Louis Icart - Louis Icart Snowstorm

His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

Image Size: 18 7/8 x 15 1/8″ (oval)
Paper Size: 22 3/4 x 18 3/4″ (rectangular)
This is a loose sheet that has been professionally conserved. The paper is heavy wove with a partial BRK RIVES watermark. The margins are quite wide but have bee trimmed.
There are no scratches, tears, rips, pinholes or foxing to the image.
The signature in crayon (lr) is strong. The notation “262” is in the lower left.
There is hand coloring in the lips.
Overall the image is an A and the sheet an A.
