Louis Icart - Louis Icart Spilled Jug of Milk
His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

Paper Size: 17 3/4 x 25 1/4″ (rectangular)
This is a loose sheet and the paper is very heavy wove with a partial ARCHES watermark, and has full margins. The etching has been professionally conserved.There are no pinholes, scratches, foxing or tears. The edges of the sheet have been folded to accommodate a previous framing. The signature (lr) is strong. The notation “No. 64” (ll). There is strong hand coloring. This is a strong impression and a crisp, clean, image.
I rate the image an A and the sheet an A.
