Louis Icart - Louis Icart Wishing Well

His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring as characterized in the book
“Buying Works by Icart.” He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.

The paper is heavy wove with no watermark. The etching has been professionally conserved, is not and has not been laid down nor has it had an overmatte attached.
There are no scratches, rips, or tears to the paper. Overall this is a strong impression.
The signature (lr) is strong. There is the notation “122” in the (ll).
The copyright (ul) is correct and clear.
The image is clean and sharp with good hand coloring to the lips, and hat.
Overall the image is an A and the sheet an A.
