Salvador Dali Four Seasons – 1972

The Salvador Dali Four Seasons suite consists of four lithographs.  The image size is about 16 1/4 x 21 7/8.”  The sheet size is 21 1/2 x 26 5/8.” Jean Estrade of Les Heures Claires published the suite in 1972. The Estrade blind stamp is present on some of the lithographs. Dali signed each lithograph in the lower right and numbered 176/195 in the lower left. The paper is Arches The lithographs are available only as the complete suite.

Lopsinger lists this suite as an edition of 195. Field shows images of the artwork and states that the suite consists of “4 lithographs from original gouches.” He indicates the published was Les Heures Claires, Paris and Torino / ACB Geneva but also states that there is “No Proof of that the Original is a work of Salvador Dali.” He rejects the suite for lack of proof. Thus in Europe, this suite is considered authentic, and in the U. S. it is not. You make the decision. Click on this link for additional background information on Salvador Dali.
