Louis Icart’s drawings are typically sketches used as preliminary works for his etchings. They have less detail that the etchings but have a free flowing quality and beautiful pastel coloring that clearly sets them apart from the etchings. The works below are charcoal and pastel drawings done on thin sketch paper. They are one of a kind works and are not reproduced as were the etchings and lithographs.
