This is background information.
Salvador Dalí is perhaps the most broadly known member of the Surrealist movement of the early twentieth century. Heavily influenced by Sigmund Freud, the avant-garde style explored consciousness and dream-like states. He did this through exaggerated landscapes and bizarre or grotesque imagery. Using the means of painting, Dalí explored these ideas with a meticulous hand and inventive wit. He also used sculpture, printmaking, film and literature.

This is the tirage for Moise et Monotheisme
The total tirage is 300. All the prints are on soft glove sheepskin. There are 250 numbered 1/1 – 1/250. There are 25 EAs numbered EA I/XXV – XXV/XXV. Finally there are 25 HCs numbered HC A-Y. Sheepskin is difficult to work with because it can shrink depending on the humidity. Thus, when framed, the print may not stay flat, and the edges may actually come out from beneath the matte.
