Louis Icart La Dame aux Camelias
The book by Alexandre Dumas with illustrations by Louis Icart, consists of 25 copperplate etchings plus text in French. All of the etchings are full size. The book was published in 1938 with a total edition of between 200 and 250. The first 25 of the edition were printed on Japon Super Nacre and contained a full set of color etchings, a full set of black & white etching, one original watercolor, and the copper plate used to print the etching that was drawn from the watercolor. When I got this book the watercolor and black & white set of etchings had been removed. Thus, I am selling the etchings separately. The plate size is 5 1/4 x 7 1/2″ and the page size is 8 3/4 x 11 1/4″. The etchings on Japon Super Nacre are nice, sharp, and crisp and are in wonderful condition. The prices for the individual etchings are given next to the etchings.
