Louis Icart La Nuit et le Moment
La Nuit et le Moment, written by Claude Prosper Jolot de Crebillon with illustrations by Louis Icart, consists of 25 very colorful etchings plus text in French. Twenty three of the etchings are full size and two are partial size. The book was published in 1946 with a total edition of 540, including editions for the artist. The regular edition of the book comes with 25 color etchings, unsigned, and text. The plate size is 5 1/4 x 7 1/2″ and the page size is 9 1/4 x 11 1/2″. The book was printed on different papers, depending on the edition number, and the number of pages is 163. The indiviual etchings are priced below and all are in fine condition. Note, that none of the etchings are signed. Icart did not, as a rule, sign his bookplate etchings. If these etchings were signed, the signatures would likely be a facsimile.
We also have available complete books of the work. Depending on the numbering of the book, it will contain extra etchings, an original watercolor drawing, or a copper plate used for printing the etchings. We have books with
