Shown below is the complete portfolio of etchings for the illustrated book “Cheri”, illustrated by Marcel Vertes and written by Colette. It was published in 1929 and the etchings are about 10 1/4x 7 3/4″ on 11 1/4 x 8 1/2″. There are 57 etchings in their first and second state, 10 etchings in their 3rd state, refused etchings, plus and original drawing signed by the artist.
This portfolio contains complete text, plus the etchings in all of their states. This is a special book and was printed for the artist and his friends and is numbered XV.
